Our editors will review your novel or short story and provide you with honest developmental feedback to help you polish your piece into publishable shape. We have several levels of review in which an experienced editor will review your work:
First 50 Pages
We'll read the first 50 pages of your work carefully, and send you an analysis that includes a discussion of all major literary elements (plot, pacing, character development, tone, theme, story set-up). We'll also take note of any weaknesses or "writer blind spots" we see.
*Novel: $150
Full Read Through
We'll read the entire manuscript carefully, and send you an analysis that includes a discussion of all major literary elements (plot, pacing, character development, tone, theme, story set-up). We'll also take note of any weaknesses or "writer blind spots" we see, including inconsistencies or oversights.
*Novel: $500 for the first 300 pages; $2 per page after
*Short Story: $50 base rate + $3 per page after the first 15 pages
Full Read Through & Edit
This service includes all the elements of the Full Read Through, with the addition of a complete, comprehensive line-edit of your work for grammar, punctuation, style, syntax, and structure.
*Novel: $1,000 for the first 250 pages; $6 per page after
*Short Story: $100 base rate + $6 per page after
* All rates are based on double-spaced, 12-pt Times New Roman pages with 1-inch margins.
